The educational support for improvement of clinical nursing competence at special nursing homes.

The purpose of this study is to develop an educational program model created for clinical nursing competences required for nurses working at special nursing homes. We researched the clinical nursing competences required for the nurses working at special nursing homes, and concluded that the main requirements for the educational program are as follows ; (1) Acquirement of precise physical assessment skills. (2) Development of logical communication skills to give the explicit explanation. (3) Development of simulation programs to cope with resident's physical condition changes. (4) Development of management skills to coordinate with other medical or/and non-medical staffs.
