The development and evaluation of preadmission patient education program with spinal operation

本研究旨在探讨脊柱手术患者入院前行为矫正教育计划的发展与评估。作为第一阶段，我们以选择性手术患者忧虑量表(ESWS)为患者教育指标。通过探索性因素分析和验证性因素分析，筛选出5个因素，共20个条目。在第二阶段，我们改进了教育内容，考虑了教育教材。同时，我们在入院前(基线)、入院后1-2天、出院前1-3天、出院后1个月对对照组进行评估。对照组采用MOS SF-36生活质量量表、HADS、ESWS和信息满意度量表进行测评。第三阶段，制作DVD和宣传册，作为脊柱手术患者入院前教育教材。我们将适应患者的入院前教育计划，并在未来评估其效果。

This study was to examine the development and evaluation of preadmission patient education program for spinal operation with behavior modification after surgery.As a first phase, we developed the elective surgery patients worry scale(ESWS) for patient education index. Five factors, comprising 20 items, were selected carefully by exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. In the second phase, we improved the education contents and considered the education teaching materials. Also, we evaluated the control patients group at preadmission(baseline), 1-2 days after hospitalization, 1-3days before discharge, and one month after discharge. Control patients group were measured using MOS SF-36 QOL scale, HADS, ESWS and information satisfaction scale. As the third phase, we made DVD and a pamphlet as the preadmission education teaching materials for spinal operations patients. We will adapt to the preadmission educational program for the patients and measure the effect of it in future.
