项目摘要

2010年度はまず、前年度取り組んだイスラム知識人層に関する課題に関して、国際学会発表の準備作業として、2010年9月大阪市立大学において開かれたインターナショナルスクールにおいて英語での口頭発表を実施した。この発表内容については、2011年3月頃に報告集が刊行される予定である。第二に研究課題について、前年度にオーストリア王室・宮廷および国立文書館で収集した未刊行史料の分析・考察を進めた。具体的には、レイス・ウル・ウレマーと呼ばれる新たな宗教指導職を頂点としたイスラームの宗教制度の設置過程とその役割に焦点を当て、ハプスブルク帝国がボスニアで実施した宗教政策とそれに対するイスラーム教徒側の反応を明らかにした。従来の研究では、帝国によるイスラーム統治の在り方が十分に考察されてこなかったゆえ、イスラーム教徒側の反応についても他民族と同様の民族主義的な抵抗活動の一部として理解されてきた。これに対して本研究では、帝国の宗教政策の政治的意図や元来のボスニア支配国であるオスマン帝国の政治動向も視野に入れることで、イスラーム教徒が、オスマン国家への従属を前提とした宗教的な紐帯にもとづき、ハプスブルク帝国による宗教政策に反対していたことを明らかにした。なおその成果は、拙稿「ハプスブルク帝国下ボスニアにおけるイスラーム統治とその反応-レイス・ウル・ウレマー職をめぐって-」としてまとめられた。最後に本年度は、ボスニアの国立文書館でも史料調査を実施した。そこで収集された史料に関しては、オーストリアで収集した先述の未刊行史料に合わせて分析・考察を進めたうえで、イスラム知識人と教育問題をテーマとした研究成果を発表する準備を進めている。
