Historical development of the housing by Bombay Improvement Trust and its impact on the genealogy of the modern public housing in Asia

本研究旨在考虑孟买改善信托过去提供住房的影响，以及它对今天的影响。我们已经完成了对北京理工大学所有房屋遗迹的实地调查和历史行政报告。研究的结果可以达到明确建筑组成特征的目的。在亚洲早期公共住房发展的比较研究中，我们可以在历史文献或现在的遗迹中找到北京理工学院规划的影响，如加尔各答和香港。

This study aims to consider the impact of past housing provision by Bombay Improvement Trust, and its status on today. We have finished field survey to all remains of BIT housing (BIT Chawls) and historical administrative reports. As result of study, we could achieve to make clear characteristics of building composition. On the comparative study of early public housing development in Asia, we can find influence of planning of BIT in the historical documents or present remains, as Kolkata and Hong Kong.
