项目摘要

本研究は、近世における過去の建築への関心・知識のあり方について、近世社会において果たした役割まで含めて明らかにしようとするものである。最終年度(三年目)にあたる今年度は、以下の作業を行なった。1.近世後期における茶室の起こし絵図の流通・収集について。昨年度から継続して行ってきた東京国立博物館所蔵の「数寄屋絵図」の全点調査を完了したほか、国立公文書館・東京大学史料編纂所などの機関で起こし絵図や関連資料の調査を行った。東博蔵「数寄屋絵図」に収められた起こし絵図の写本の系統など、新たに解明できたこともあるが、一方でその作成元や収集の経緯など未解明の課題がいくつか残された。それらの点に関しては今後引き続き調査・研究を進めていく必要がある。2.伏見城・聚楽第等の遺構説の流布過程について。京都を中心とする地誌・紀行文の分析から、伏見城・聚楽第等から移築されたという由緒を持つ建物の存在に注目し、由緒が成立し、一般に流布していく過程について検討を進めた。今年度は昨年度に引き続き地誌・紀行文等の資料調査や、由緒の語られる建物の実地調査を行った。また、昨年度までの成果を、査読付き論文1編(「聚楽第・伏見城・豊国廟遺構説の萌芽」)、学会報告1編(「東西本願寺における聚楽第等遺構説」)として発表した。前者では、遺構説は17世紀末頃から少しずつ地誌等に取り上げられるようになり、18世紀初頭から本格的に記されるようになることなどを指摘した。後者は、18世紀以降の状況として東本願寺・西本願寺における聚楽第等の由緒を取り上げたもので、由緒が語られるようになる時期の違いや由緒に対する批判等について検討したものである。
