项目摘要

本年度は1950年代の原爆表現について、戦後文化運動との関わりから調査・考察を行った。具体的には広島のサークル誌「われらの詩」と長崎のサークル誌「芽だち」を対象とした。占領下・朝鮮戦争下にあった「われらの詩」と、講和条約発効後・第五福竜丸事件下にあった「芽だち」とは政治的・社会的背景を異にしているが、被爆地における文化運動と原爆表現のありようをとらえる上でふさわしいテキストだと判断して取り上げた。「われらの詩」については、「われらの詩」研究会に参加して諸分野の研究者と意見交換を行ったり、広島の各図書館で調査を行ったりした。報告者は詩人と画家との交流に注目し、峠三吉と四国五郎の共同作業による表紙装幀や辻詩活動について調査し、詩と絵の「相乗作用」の問題が四国のその後の創作に継続していることを明らかにした。「芽だち」については、すでに関連する論考や資料を発表しているが、今回は「われらの詩」と周じく、詩人・作家と画家の交流という観点から再調査した。その際、編集責任者だった中村新七に発行状温やデザインについての聞き取りを行った。表紙絵を描いた人々のうち、画家の池野清・巖兄弟がいるが、彼らは佐多稲子の小説の登場人物のモデルとなっていることで知られる。池野たちの長崎の文化運動への関わりや、詩人の山田かんや佐多稲子との交流について、「芽だち」や『樹影』を通して考察した。以上の調査研究をまとめた論文は近く発表する予定である。
