Kenya faced serious dispute after the presidential election of the end of December 2007. The dispute was driven in part by unadjusted land distribution in Rift Valley Province. Not surprisingly, the internally displaced persons who settled in new places also faced the material shortage after all. But we could observe the social practices to adjust resources. And specially the water resource from Mt. Kenya supported rice farmers in submontane villages. In this research, I tried to examine the relationship between resource development and culture in East Africa.
