Identification and characterization of factors that regulate EB virus reactivation from latency

EB病毒是严重疾病的病原体，包括传染性单核细胞增多症、伯基特淋巴瘤、鼻咽癌或胃癌。病毒生命周期的变化，如潜伏期的再激活，与疾病的严重程度或状态有关，因此分析这种转变的机制是很重要的。我们在此新发现了调节病毒再激活的转录因子，并观察到这些因子介导的表观遗传改变（Murata et al., JBC 2010, 2011, Murata et al., JV 2012）。

Epstein-Barr(EB) virus is a causative agent of serious diseases, including infectious mononucleosis, Burkitt's lymphoma, nasopharyngeal cancer, or gastric cancer. Changes of viral lifecycles, such as reactivation from latency, have been implicated in the severity or state of the diseases, and thus analyzing mechanisms of such transitions is of importance. We here newly identified transcription factors that regulate the virus reactivation, and observed epigenetic alterations mediated by those factors(Murata et al., JBC 2010, 2011, Murata et al., JV 2012).
