Host immune responses and parasite delived substances associated with the establishment of chronic infection

虽然人体具有识别和排斥外来病原体的免疫系统，但肠道寄生虫在肠道中长时间存在;即慢性感染。通过小鼠模型研究了感染机制。结果表明，小鼠免疫反应在感染的非常早期阶段被抑制。寄生虫衍生的物质，如排泄分泌产物，被认为是导致抑制的原因，然而，分析仍在进行中。

Although human body has an immune system which recognizes and rejects foreign pathogens, intestinal parasites establish in the gut for a long time; i.e. chronic infections. The mechanism of the infection was examined by mice model. Results suggested that the mouse immune response was suppressed at the very early phase of the infection. Parasite derived substances, such as excretory-secretory products, were thought to cause the suppression, however, the analysis is still in process.
