Intratumoral concentrations of sex-steroid hormone and stress hormone wereelevated in the endometrial carcinoma. On the other hand, we indicated steroid sulfatase played a veryimportant role in the local biosynthesis of estrogen in human endometrial cancer through tumor-stromal cell interactions. Therefore, steroid sulfatase inhibitors should be useful drugs especially for patients with endometrial cancers, which have steroid sulfatase activities.
