项目摘要

研究課題「仏領インドシナにおけるベトナムの末端統治と都市住民ネットワーク」は、次の2つの角度から検討を行なう。(1) 仏領インドシナの行政システムの解明―フランス側(支配者側)の植民地統治に関わる方法や思想、その実践と結果―と、(2) 植民地社会に生きた人びとの実態解明―ハノイ市の社会構造と生活様式の解明―である。上記計画に基づき、本年度はベトナムのハノイ国家第一文書館とフランス国立海外領文番館で史料調査・収集を行ないつつ、早い段階から研究成果のアウトプット―査読付論文の公刊―を試みた。残念ながら採用中に掲載されなかったが、この論文の内容を研究実績の概要に代えて以下に記述することにしたい。論文は2本あり、①「植民地期ハノイにおける街区の住民構成―1930年代の商工業者層を中心に―」では、植民地期ハノイの社会構造を、街区とその住民の構成の特徴において考察することを目的とした。ハノイの都市的特徴を、行政区画、人口、景観から捉え、その社会構造について、商工業者層を事例に、行政と商業会議所の役割を理解したうえで1936年の商業登記簿を分析し、同時期のハノイにおける商工業者の職業分類や就業人口、地理的分布などの就業構造を明らかにした。論文②「1936-37年ハノイにおける労働者ストライキ運動」では、植民地期ハノイの住民ネットワークの実態を明らかにすることを目的とした。この頃、インドシナ共産党によって組織されたストライキ運動の展開とそれに呼応した参加者―労働者階級や知識人階級―の連帯関係の実態に迫った。ハノイでは熟練労働者によるゼネストが中心的に発生し、これに呼応あるいはそこから派生して政治家や宗教団体が加わり大衆運動が拡大発展した。結果、諸同業団体が結社を結成し、フランス政府や植民地当局に要求を行なう際に様々な階級の団体が集まることになり、大衆は水平的な連帯から垂直的な連帯を可能にした。
