農業生産において経験に裏打ちされた生産者固有の知識は、経営成果を左右する重要な資源であるが、従来の親子間での共同作業を基盤とした共有・継承の仕組みは弱体化しつつある。そうしたなか本研究は、兵庫県篠山市の黒大豆生産を事例に、一般経営学で理論蓄積の進むナレッジマネジメントを援用して現在の社会システムに適合した知識管理の仕組みを再構築することを目的とした。本年度は質的研究を通してこれまで仮説的に明らかにした知見を、篠山市の黒大豆生産者を対象とした質問票調査に基づき定量的に検証するとともに、研究成果を統合し地域農業の知識管理モデルを示した。分析の結果、まず黒大豆生産知識の特性として、生産者固有の知識は熟達生産者に存在していること、また年代間では70代以上の生産者に多く、喪失の危機にあることが改めて明らかになった。そして、地域レベルの知識管理構造を検証した結果、JA・普及センターは生産者の日常的な知識獲得先として機能していること、地縁レベルコミュニティは、熟達者間や熟達者一未熟者間で知識を共有する場として機能していること、そして地域レベルコミュニティは、熟達者のなかでも特に高齢者の知識共有の場として機能していることが明らかになった。こうした結果から、一部のコミュニティや熟達生産者によって創造された知識は、地縁レベル、地域レベルのコミュニティを通して共有されるとともに、普及センターによっても表出化、普及される知識管理の仕組みが構築されていることが示された。そして、今後の知識管理の方策としては、地域レベルの知識管理の基盤であり弱体化しつつある地縁レベル、地域レベルコミュティの機能を維持、発展させる必要があること、そのためには普及センターが従来の機能である知識普及のみでなく、ナレッジマネージャーとして知識共有、創造の「場」の維持や創造を担う必要性があることが示された。
