项目摘要

平成25年度は研究指導委託により、フランス・パリ第7大学のヤニック・セイテ准教授のもとで研究作業を行った。筆者の研究は、18世紀啓蒙期の思想家ジャン=ジャック・ルソーの著作における地方主義的な色彩が、彼の政治哲学的あるいは人間学的な思想とどのように関係しているのかを明らかにしようとするものである。このために、今年度は特に大都市と地方がモード(流行)を介していかなる地政学的な緊張関係を描き出しているのかを分析した。その成果は、東京大学大学院総合文化研究科の『超域文化科学紀要』に掲載された学術論文に集約されている。この研究作業を進める過程で助言・指導をいただいた、ヤニック・セイテ准教授だけでなく、パリ第7大学名誉教授のピエール、シャルチエ氏やパリ・ソルボンヌ大学教授のジャック・ベルシュトルド氏も筆者の研究内容の独創性を評価しているように、ルソーの思想とモードとの関係はこれまで考察されることのなかったテーマである。実際、ルソーの道徳思想とモードに彩られたパリの都市文化とは、これまで対立関係にあるものとして語られて来たが、筆者の研究によって、両者には共犯的な要素があること、そして、同時代のフランスにおいて流通していたルソーの著名作家としての形象は、このような共犯性の上に成立していることを提示した。この研究に加えてさらに、ルソーの著作における衣服と身体のテーマを題材として、2014年2月にパリ国際大学都市で行われたコロック「身体の定義と構築」において、フランス語による口頭発表を行った。この研究は、言語のモードだけでなく、衣服のモードもまたルソーの人間学的な思想において重要な意味を担っていることを明らかにしたものである。この成果は、2014年中にフランスにおいて研究論集として出版される予定であり、国際的な研究成果としても評価されるものであると考えられる。

In 2007, the 7th University of Science and Technology was commissioned to conduct research. The author studies the works of the thinkers of the 18th century in the period of enlightenment, the color of regionalism, and the relationship between their political philosophy and human science.
