The Independence of young people with intellectual disabilities: An analysis of the leaving home and make their family

(1)以往对残疾人独立性的研究，缺乏生命历程视角。特别是，智障人士没有选择活得对得起这一代人。(2)智障人士对自身、父母、支持者的独立看法存在差异。它特别值得注意的是性行为和婚姻。(3)支持者应该发挥作用，倡导智障人士的需要，并将他们视为成年人。为了开启智障人士新的生命历程的可能性，对他们来说，扩大个人关系和建立社会网络是很重要的。

(1) Previous Studies on the independence of people with disabilities, the life course perspective is lacking. In particular, people with intellectual disabilities do not have the option of live worthy of the generation. (2) There is a difference in the independent view of a person with intellectual disability oneself, parents, and a supporter. It is especially remarkable about sexuality and marriage. (3) Supporters should have a role on advocating for needs of people with intellectual disabilities, and they should consider them as adult. In order to open up the possibility of a new life course of people with intellectual disabilities, it is important for them to expand a personal relationship and to build a social network.
