项目摘要

2016年3月のモスクワ出張の際にRGALI（ロシア国立文学芸術アーカイヴ）で収集した資料を基に、論文執筆に取り組んだ。この出張ではモスフィルムのフォンドを概観し、スターリンの死後53年から60年ごろまでの資料の収集に当たった。これは、ソ連社会がいわゆる「雪どけ」の時代を迎える一方、プイリエフがモスフィルムの責任者として活躍し、後年の映画スタジオのあり方に大きく影響を与えた時期を含んでいる。調査の結果得られた資料を基に、スターリンの死後にソ連映画界に起こった変化の機運について、後期ソ連を代表する娯楽映画監督エリダール・リャザーノフを切り口に論文執筆に取り組んだ（岩波書店刊　シリーズ『ロシア革命とソ連の世紀』第４巻に「ソ連時代後半の娯楽映画――リャザーノフの挑戦（仮）」として収録予定）。若きリャザーノフを見出し、その劇映画デビューを後押ししたのはプイリエフだったのである。アーカイヴ資料から、スターリンの死後モスフィルムの責任者となったプイリエフが、戦後停滞していた映画の製作現場の建て直しに取り組んだ詳細が明らかになった。スタジオの増改築や映画製作のための新技術導入を通じて、製作現場は刷新された。さらに製作本数を増大させ、若手の映画監督の積極的な登用を行なったことで、映画創作の活性化をもたらしたのである。上に述べたリャザーノフを始めとして、プイリエフの改革によって創作の機会を得た若手は、やがて映画界を代表する中堅へと躍進していく。プイリエフの尽力は、ソ連映画における新しい波の到来を招いた一因とも評価される。2017年3月にはモスクワならびにペテルブルグへの出張を行い、資料収集にあたったほか、プイリエフならびにリャザーノフの関係者と連絡をとり、面談を通じて今後の研究に取り組むための下地を作った。
