项目摘要

本研究の目的は、芸術を専門としない総合大学の学生向けに,芸術表現を触発する教育プログラムを実践し、大学生の創造性と表現力を発揮するための支援方法を示すことであった。芸術表現力の獲得過程を検討する上で、まず、芸術作品の鑑賞が表現を触発するという現象に焦点を当て、その現象が生起するプロセス・メカニズムについてのレビュー論文を執筆した。モデルから触発を促進する要因として、芸術表現経験などの個人差と鑑賞態度が重要であることが示唆された。そのため、それらの要因が触発に与える影響を示す仮説モデルを構築し、質問紙法からモデル検証を行った。その結果、芸術の専門教育を受けている人とそうでない人は触発のプロセスが異なることがわかった。さらに、専門教育を受けていない人の中でも芸術表現活動をしているかどうかや表現への有能感が個人差の要因として触発を促すこと、それらの要因が触発に影響する際に鑑賞態度が媒介変数として役割を果たすことが示唆された。以上の知見を踏まえて、総合大学の学生を対象として触発を促す教育的介入を含む写真表現の教育実践を実施し、その教育的効果を測定した。その結果、質問紙から、自分の表現意図と表現方法を一致させようと試みる表現への意識が授業後に多くなったことが示された。また、授業前後に鑑賞中の眼球運動を測定する実験を行った結果、学生の鑑賞ストラテジーが変化したことが示唆された。さらに、教育実践の1年後のインタビューから、授業後に写真創作を行う学生が増加したことが示唆された。以上の研究は、総合大学の学生の芸術表現や創造を促す教育を考える上で、触発が重要な役割を果たすことを示した先駆的研究である。また、本研究の中で扱った表現への意識や、鑑賞中の眼球運動、教育実践後の芸術活動などの効果測定の観点は今後の芸術教育の効果測定研究を行う上で重要な示唆を与えるだろう。
