本年度は、我が国を分析対象として取り上げた上で、主に、海事産業と航空機部品産業の空間的集積と集積の経済効果の検証に取り組んだ。海事部門については、まず、我が国でも有数の海事都市である神戸市を分析対象として、海事部門における集積の経済を検証した。次に、我が国の工業地区にまで分析対象を拡張し、海事製造部門における動学的外部効果を検証した。そして、都道府県レベルで生産関数を推定することによって、別の角度から、我が国の海事製造業における集積の経済を検証すると同時に、特に、海事関連産業が集積した長崎県を取り上げて、同県の海事製造業における集積の経済を検証した。以上の検証結果からは、神戸市における海事部門の集積形態については、産業の多様性と地域競争的な生産環境を重視するJacobs型外部性の存在が示唆された。その一方で、我が国の工業地区および都道府県の海事製造部門を分析対象とした場合には、MAR型の動学的外部効果が存在する可能性を示す結果となった。航空部門に関しては、まず、都道府県レベルで生産関数を推定することによって、我が国の航空機部品産業における集積の経済を検証した。そして、我が国で最も航空関連産業が集積し、中部国際空港が開港すると同時に、航空宇宙産業クラスター形成特区に指定された愛知県を特に取り上げて、同県の航空機部品産業における集積の経済を検証した。以上の検証結果からは、都道府県の航空機部品産業を分析対象とした場合には、MAR型の外部性が示唆された。その一方で、愛知県の航空機部品産業における集積の経済の検証結果からは、都市化の経済（Jacobs型外部性）の存在が示唆されると同時に、ある程度、中部国際空港の開港効果が確認できた。
