本年度は、当初の研究実施計画に基づき「研究２：消費者とロゴの筆跡の類似性・補完性が商品選択に与える影響の解明」にあたり心理学実験を実施した。1、消費者とロゴにおける筆跡の主観的類似度が選好に与える影響(1) 主観的類似度による比較：実験参加者と手書きによるロゴの筆跡は、主観的に似ている方よりも似ていない方を好む傾向が見られた。(2) 個性の強さによる比較：筆跡に現れた個性が強いと評価したロゴの方が、弱いと評価したロゴよりも好ましさが高まった。本研究の結果は、似ていないと感じる筆跡に自己にはない側面を補うという解釈から好ましさや尊敬を抱く可能性を指摘した先行研究を支持した。加えて、筆跡に現れた個性の強さに対する評価が好ましさに影響する可能性を示唆した。2、筆跡から受ける感性的印象と筆跡から想像されるパーソナリティ印象との関連筆跡は規則的な情報（字形や書体）と不規則な情報（書き癖や精神状態）すなわち個性の両者を含む。個性は手書き文字独自の重要な情報であるにも関わらず、個性とパーソナリティ印象との関連を検討した研究は少ないという問題があった。デザイナーは商品のターゲット層に関するパーソナリティ印象をロゴの形態として表現することから、これまで未解明であったロゴに関する感性的印象とパーソナリティ印象との関連について検討した。その結果、「ありふれた」印象と勤勉性、「柔らかい」印象と情緒不安定性、「爽やかな」および「強い」印象と開放性との間に関連が見られた。以上の成果を国内会議および国際会議で発表する準備を進めている。本研究でハンドライティング・デザインにおける非言語的情報の機序を明らかにすることで、より消費者心理に沿った購買決定行動のプロセス、および非言語コミュニケーションの過程に関して新たな知見を提供できることが、近い将来において期待される。
