项目摘要

今年度は、金融機関の行動と金融危機に関する以下の3点の研究に取り組んだ。以前から取り組んでいた論文"Ignorant Experts and Financial Fragility"では、主要な結果として、高度に発展した金融市場のもとでは、金融機関は過剰に情報収集能力を獲得してしまい、その結果金融市場がショックに対して脆弱になってしまうことを示している。この論文を国際学会(46th Annual Conference of the European Association for Research in lndustrial Economics (EARIE) )で報告し、国際学術雑誌に投稿したところ、情報収集能力が観察できない場合は、結果が変わりうることが指摘された。情報収集能力を完全には観察することができない場合、さらなる情報収集能力を獲得するような混合戦略均衡が存在する可能性がある。これは理論的に興味深い状況なので、今後さらなる分析を進める予定である。２点目の論文"Corporate Governance and Fire Sales"では、マネージャーの獲得をめぐる金融機関の間の競争が、金融機関が直面する流動性リスクに与える影響を分析している。この論文も前年度から取り組んでいたが、新しい結果として、事前にマネージャーに対する報酬を制限する規制を政府が課すことで、資産価格の下落を防ぎ、経済厚生を改善することができることを示した。３点目の論文"Liquidity hoarding and information acquisition"では、金融資産の質に関する情報収集が可能な環境下における金融機関の流動性管理について分析している。その結果、金融機関の現金の保有を強制する規制は、金融資産の市場流動性を損なう恐れがあることを示した。
