项目摘要

本研究では、金融仲介機関のガバナンスと金融危機の関係性について、理論モデルを構築して分析し、金融システムの安定化に寄与する政策を提言することを目的としている。今年度は、今まで取り組んできた金融仲介機関の情報収集能力への投資行動について、より詳細な分析を行うことで、結果の頑強性を確かめた。具体的には、金融契約における金融仲介機関の交渉力が変化したときや、金融仲介機関が証券化商品を発行するとき、情報収集能力を取引相手は完全には観察することができないとき、情報収集能力がすぐに役に立たなくなるのではなく長期間にわたって役に立つとき、情報収集能力を高めることでよりリターンの高い投資先をみつけることができるときといった状況において、金融仲介機関の情報収集能力への投資行動を分析した。このような様々な状況においても、金融仲介機関は情報収集能力への投資を行い、その結果小さなショックが大きな景気後退を引き起こす可能性があることを理論的に示した。ただし、金融仲介機関の交渉力が高いときや情報収集能力を取引相手が観察することが困難なときには、金融仲介機関の情報収集能力への投資に対する意欲は減退し、危機を避けて長期的な経済成長を維持することができるという結果を導いた。さらに、政府は、金融仲介機関や金融取引への課税や補助金を通じて、情報収集能力への投資に影響を与え、金融危機が起こる可能性を低下させることができることも示した。また、導出した理論的な結果から、実証的な含意を導出した。
