项目摘要

当該年度は、研究計画どおり一次文献および二次文献の精読を行った。とりわけヒエロニュムスによるオリゲネス『エレミヤ書説教』のギリシア語原文およびラテン語訳のくわしい比較作業に着手できたことは大きな収穫だった。すべての説教を精査できたわけではないが、手を付けることのできたいくつかのテクストから、すでに大きな発見をすることができたので、今後の作業にも期待が持てる。本来であれば現時点ですべてのテクストの精査を済ませておきたかったが、コロナウイルスの蔓延が本研究にも悪影響を及ぼした。何といっても、予定していた成果発表の機会が複数回失われてしまった。海外の学会への参加機会が失われたことは言うまでもなく、国内の学会もいくつか中止されてしまった。そうした中で、2020年9月13日にオンラインで開催された京都ユダヤ思想学会の第13回学術大会シンポジウムで「迷える者たちの翻訳者：中世ユダヤ教聖書解釈におけるヒエロニュムス」と題して口頭発表することができたのは幸いだった。当該発表は、わずかに改題した「迷える者たちの翻訳者：中世ユダヤ教におけるヒエロニュムスとウルガータ聖書」というタイトルで、学会誌『京都ユダヤ思想』（京都ユダヤ思想学会）第12号に掲載予定である。また依頼を受けて、本研究に関連する書籍の書評をいくつか発表することができたのも特筆すべき実績といえる（『図書新聞』3459号、『ユダヤ・イスラエル研究』34号、Journal for the Study of Judaism VOl. 52）。
