今年度は、１年目の研究成果を踏まえて、心的メタファの活性化による対人関係調整機能（メタファ一致効果）に関して、物の形と認知的判断の観点からさらなる研究を行った。1年目の研究成果で、丸い形は温かさ認知を促進し、四角い形は有能さ認知を促進することが明らかとなった。さらに丸い形は物理的な温かさ推定を促進させるという形と温度のクロスモーダルな連合も明らかとなった。２年目は、１年目とは逆の方向性の研究を行った。具体的には、温かさ、有能さ認知が形の判断に及ぼす影響を検討した。その結果、温かさプライミングは丸い形の、有能さプライミングは四角い形の選択を促進し、抽象概念から具体概念の方向で生じるメタファ一致効果が明らかとなった。この点から、形と認知判断の連合において、メタファ一致効果の双方向性を明らかにした。さらに、この一致効果のメカニズムを検証した。形がジェンダー認知と関連があるとする先行研究をもとに、形のメタファ一致効果の生起にはジェンダー認知が媒介している可能性を検討した。その結果、形→ジェンダー認知→共同性 (e.g., 温かさ) および作動性 (e.g., 有能さ) の判断といった媒介過程が見いだされた。上記の研究成果は2019年度中に行われた日本認知心理学会第17回大会、関西心理学会131回大会で発表した。また複数の研究会でも発表しており積極的なアウトプットを行っている。これらの研究は現在論文化に向けて準備を進めている。
