和田は、「語りのテキスト」に生じる日英仏独蘭語の未来形ならびにその関連領域の比較研究に力を注ぎ、英蘭語のGO-未来の比較研究、未来時指示の日英語の開放条件文における時制・アスペクト・モダリティ・心的態度に関する比較研究を行った。また、日英語の話法と時制・アスペクト・モダリティ・心的態度に関する比較研究も行った。渡邊は、「語りのテキスト」におけるロマンス諸語の未来形ならびに条件法の比較研究を中心課題に据え、フランス語とコルシカ語の未来形・条件法の比較研究のほか、フランス語の接続法とポリフォニーの問題も扱った。本年度の研究会は、原則、筑波大学・東京大学にて対面開催（一部オンライン）となり、その活動記録は以下のとおりである。第１回研究会（和田尚明）：「Be Going ToとGaan：英蘭語のGO-未来の対照研究」（2022年5月2日）　第２回研究会（宮腰駿）：「フランス語の-ment型文副詞について」（2022年5月7日）　第３回研究会（森一平）：「語調緩和の半過去形と条件法現在形」（2022年７月8日）　第４回研究会（地野みれい）：「アッカド語におけるいわゆる「来辞（ventive）」の用法に関する意味・語用論的考察」（2022年9月28日）　第５回研究会（田村心）「日英語の命令文に関する機能的分析―命令文による間接的な伝達内容に着目してー」・（渡邊淳也）：「フランス語とコルシカ語における条件法の対照研究」（2023年３月6日）口頭発表については、和田が日英語の開放条件文における時制・アスペクト・モダリティについて、International Conference on Tense and Aspect in Conditionals（パリ）にて単独発表を行い、渡邊がフランス語とコルシカ語の未来諸時制について、日本ロマンス語学会大会（オンライン）にて単独発表を行った。
