令和４年度は、研究環境の整備と調査に向けた準備を行った。研究環境の整備については、研究に必要な機材（プリンター、パソコン周辺機器等）の整備を行い、オンライン会議を円滑に行うためにアプリケーションソフトのグレードアップ等のオンライン環境の整備を行った。また、文献の取集に着手し、研究テーマに関連する国内の新刊書を重点的にそろえた。調査に向けた準備については、東京都内および首都圏の教育委員会と積極的に交流を行い（コロナ感染防止目的でオンライン会議も多用）、常に変動しているスクールソーシャルワーク事業および学校環境の実態把握に努めた。そうした基盤に立って、教育研究協力機関の選定および交渉を行った。その結果、５つの教育委員会から協力に関する内諾を得た。（令和５年度にはさらに交渉範囲を広げ、合計８か所程度から協力を得る予定。）また、これまでに開発したコンピテンシーモデルの項目を整理し、教育委員会へのヒアリング調査に備えた。教育委員会への説明用の資料（リーフレット）も作成し、調査の趣旨を理解いただいた上で調査に協力いただけるよう、適切な説明に努めた。教育委員会に対しては、それぞれ年２～３回程度、所属するスクールソーシャルワーカーへのスーパービジョン（指導・助言活動）を担う役割を得、実地にスクールソーシャルワーカーの専門的知識や技術について実態を把握しつつ調査を行うことができる環境を得ることができた。また、信頼関係のもとで対等なパートナーシップ関係を築き、調査のみならず日常的な「顔の見える関係」のもとで調査を行う土壌を築くことができた。
