本研究では、コロナ禍で大きく変化した「食」の状況及び人々の精神面について、影響が大きい若者として大学生を対象とする。幸せを「食」でどのようにサポート可能か、「食」と「メンタル」を対象に主観的評価と客観的評価のハイブリッド型研究により遂行する計画である。これまで、回答者の「主観的」な評価に基づいてのみ計測されてきた「メンタル」評価に、機械学習を適用した表情分析の結果を統合することで、主観的な評価と客観的な評価のハイブリッドが可能となる。より頑健なメンタルの状況に対して、食事の状況を解析することにより、幸せを食でサポートする研究を遂行する計画である。研究計画に則り、初年度はプレテストの解析を行い、修正すべき箇所を明らかにした。また、研究代表者所属機関の倫理審査を経て調査実施の承認を受け、表情データの取得を可能とした。これらの段階を経て、１回目の調査について、被験者募集を行い、同意書の提出を経て、食生活の記録、精神的健康度調査への回答を含めて、調査を行い、データを収集した。得られたデータの整理及び分析が進みつつある状況である。主観的なメンタル評価の結果とある栄養素の摂取状況に有意に相関が見られることが明らかになった。また、客観的な表情特徴のいくつかにおいて、主観的なメンタル評価との関係性が得られた。当該成果の一部について、東北大学ヨッタインフォマティクスセンターの研究会にて、口頭報告し、貴重な意見を得た。
