The conclusions by surveying to figure out characteristics are as follows.Large differences between figure of dweller and activityWe can see the many differences between the dweller's characteristics and daily activities. In 16 facilities, 60 % of dweller has severely or severest handicap, in addition to be elderly tendency.Recently, these facilities are hard to believe as place of training for rehabilitation and passing to residential living".We couldn't hard to say that those ideal established when low took on don't work on well in these day.Delay to modify the living environmentWe can the situation in facilities that living group consisted of many dwellers hasn't changed for long term in spite of promoting normalization.Facilities restored recently because of its deterioration with revising areas of room. Otherwise, it doesn't take the situation into consideration. In general, we couldn't get reached the promotion of living standard.Congestion of using facilitiesThere are some plans such as promoting people to retire from facilities and reducing accommodation. But those haven't some reality, and accommodation is increasing in spiraling numbers. For the purpose of promoting to residential living, "Group Home" and Life Support Center have been settled. "Working Dormitory", base of residential living, was occupied by retirement from other facilities. In spite of same organizations, it is hard to say that system moving to residential living doesn't work on well.We should take these into consideration to study on perspective plan of facilities that helps change to appropriate activities and living environment in parallel with research on accommodate facilities to become reality of residential living. We should present changing image and new additional function of facilities with concern about location.
