项目摘要

This study aims to identify the types of training and support that can be offered online to elementary school teachers who have to teach English classes or English language activities from 2020 and the effectiveness of such support.To this end, the researchers organized interviews with elementary school teachers of English. The interviews were transcribed and analysed and the findings were reported in a hybrid-type presentation by the two researchers at the JALT 2022 Conference at the Fukuoka International Congress Center, Japan in November 2022.For comparison purposes, school visits and informal hearings with teachers were also conducted abroad.These interviews provided the basis for the development of a wide-scale survey to be conducted in 2023.
