英文摘要
Aluminium & Plastics Systems (APS) are a specialist, innovative company within the Aluminium and PVC industry. As part of their ambition for innovation and strategic growth complimented by their passion for sustainability APS are designing and developing a new aluminium door product that will compliment their existing product portfolio. This innovation will be used for internal and external doors on residential and commercial buildings and is a longer in use, smart design that betters current alternatives such as wood or PVC. The use of aluminium doors has a range of benefits for customers such as increased insulation, less maintenance and fire resistance to name but a few. Furthermore, it furthers APS' sustainability efforts as the doors are longer in use and will enable customers to reduce their carbon footprint which is a massive environmental benefit. This compliments APS current environmental conscious efforts such as their recent reduction of 90% of office paper and only using 80-85% reusable aluminium in their products.Overall, this product is an exciting, innovative project that will benefit APS as a business, their suppliers and their direct and indirect customers. Furthermore, the societal and environmental benefits will be realised as this project develops and the general public will be able to utilise this product and experience it's benefits such as cost savings and climate consciousness. Furthermore, the UK economy will be positively impacted through the design and development of a new innovative product and the ultimate commercialisation of the product.
