CreatingValEU: a value-based health innovation Summer School

Europe’s healthcare systems are facing sustainability challenges. Without a solution, the cost of healthcare is expected to double by 2050. The future of healthcare largely depends on the concept of value-based healthcare (VBHC). However, VBHC is often misunderstood, poorly applied, and seldom at the forefront of the innovation process. Our project aims to address this gap by training the next generation of entrepreneurs in the principles of VBHC, while also co-creating value-based innovations that align directly with patient needs. The CreatingValEU course, developed by a team of clinicians, educationalists, and entrepreneurs, brings unparalleled expertise from across the healthcare ecosystem. This program enables budding innovators to learn from patient experts, entrepreneurs, big data scientists, and healthcare professionals, helping them identify pressing challenges and develop value-based solutions. Participating teams will have the opportunity to pitch their entrepreneurial ideas, with the winners receiving further support to develop and grow their innovative solutions.
