Hyperbolic inverse boundary value problems will be studied usingFourier integral operator techniques. A typical inverse boundary valueproblem arises when an object is probed by sending waves to it inorder to determine some properties of the object from the measuredresponses. The project considers the case where the measurements aremodelled using the acoustic wave equation. The acoustic case is, forexample, a prototype case for several geophysical imaging problems.The focus is on problems with time-dependent coefficients. Suchproblems can be seen as the hyperbolic analogue of the much studiedCalderon's inverse problem. Also scattering type problems will beconsidered.
