IMMUNIZATION STRATEGY WITH ALVAC-HIV VCP1452 IN HIV-1 SUBJECTS

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The purpose of this research study is to see if either stopping anti-HIV drugs for short periods of time or adding a vaccine to the anti-HIV drugs already being taken will help to better control HIV infection. The study will check to see if the vaccine is safe to use in people with HIV infection. The study will also check to see if stopping anti-HIV medicines for short periods of time is safe.
