PHASE I STUDY OF SAHA IN COMBINATION WITH BORTEZOMIB IN ADVANCED MALIGNANCIES

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The purpose of this study is to determine the maximal tolerated dose for the combination of bortezomib and Suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid (SAHA). Bortezemib will be administered on Days 1, 4, 8, and 11 of a 21-day course and SAHA will be administered everyday for 14 days. In addition, researchers will also evaluate the blood levels, anti-tumor activity, and side effects of this combination.
