FRAM 2: FAT REDISTRIBUTION AND METABOLIC CHANGE IN HIV INFECTION

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. FRAM 2 is a study funded by the National Institutes of Health to learn whether HIV-infected patients have abnormalities in their blood vessels that could eventually lead to heart attack or stroke (atherosclerosis), in how fat is distributed in their body and in how their body handles fat and sugars. If such abnormalities are present, this study will also determine what factors may contribute to those abnormalities. This study is being conducted on former participants of the FRAM 1 study only
