英文摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The Epidemiology of Diabetes Intervention Complications (EDIC) is an epidemio- logic investigation, especially for the study of macrovascular disease IDDM, and it also takes advantage of intention to treat analyses based on previous involvement of the study population in the DCCT. The follow-up study will provide valuable information regarding the long-term course of the complications of diabetes in a carefully characterized study population.
