This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. This study will test the hypothesis that the change in viseral fat (in a cross-sectional area) will be greater with testosterone replacement than with placebo in HIV-positive men who are noted to have abdominal obesity and who have mildly to moderately reduced serum testosterone levels. The GCRC will be asked to perform DEXA scans on subjects who agree to participate in this trial.
