This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. University of Louisville Genomics Core The shared, centralized research core facility is designed to provide sequencing and gene-micro-array services to the University of Louisville and its KBRIN/INBRE affiliated institutions. We have continued to support the micro-array services of the Affymetrix facility in the Brown Cancer Center. The facility has performed analyses on 244 chips from 12 laboratories. Collaboration is on going with INBRE research teams. Specifically we are in the midst of performing gene array hybridization and analyses for with Dr. Wesley White at Morehead State University, Dr. Cheryl Davis at Western Kentucky University, and Dr. Mark Bardgett at Northern Kentucky University. This group is considering the development of a Collaborative Research Development Program application through Kentucky EPSCoR. This might provide pilot data that could lead to a NSF and/or an NIH collaborative application. We have provided support for Drs. Dave Robinson & Mary Huff, of Bellarmine University, one of our outreach institutions, to attend the week long Kentucky Proteomics Training Program at the University of Louisville to further their research skills & aims.
