英文摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Project 2: Analysis of Polyamine Metabolism in EBV Lymphomagenesis Project PI: Rona S. Scott, Ph.D. Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a human tumor virus associated with multiple cancers including Burkitt?s lymphoma (BL). Furthermore, EBV infection provides a growth advantage to infected B cells that can lead to immortalization and transformation of these cells. Thus, the long-term goal of this research is to understand the mechanisms by which EBV causes cancer.
