项目摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the
resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and
investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source,
and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is
for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.
The goals of this study are to look at how late-occurring complications develop among subjects going through treatment for childhood cancer; to study how late-occurring complications relate to type of cancer, stage of cancer and treatment; and to compare subjects with cancer who have a late-occurring complication(s) to subjects with cancer with the same diagnosis and treatment who do not have late-occurring complication(s); to see if certain individuals, cancer treatment(s), or genes (the physical unit that carries characteristics from parent to child) are related to an increased risk of late occurring complication(s).
