项目摘要
Administrative Supplement Proposal Summary
Face-To-Face (F2F) meetings play an important role for the Bridge2AI (B2AI) Consortium to
foster connection and collaboration. The Administrative Core of the Bridge Center is proposing
to oversee the logistics and host, in collaboration with the NIH, up to two F2F B2AI Consortium
meetings (one larger than the other) each year for three consecutive years, starting in 2023 for
designated representatives of the NIH, the six Center Cores, and the four Data Generation
Projects (DGPs). This proposal includes support for up to six F2F program or consortium
meetings from 2023 to 2026.
Leaders and key personnel of the Administrative Core have a long track record of organizing
large scientific encounters for various awards, which engaged individuals with diverse
background from multiple institutions to join force on advancing science. We will work closely
with leaders from the NIH, Bridge Center, and DGPs to plan, manage, host successful F2F
meetings.
The award to the Bridge Center, and to the Administrative Core in particular, did not include funds
for a consortium-wide in person meeting of the magnitude here proposed. For this reason, we are
requesting a supplement that covers the meeting venue with the sufficient technical features
and personnel support on logistics and event management. The plans moving forward are for
up to two meetings a year—one is the annual program meeting, and the other is the relatively
smaller bi-annual consortium meeting. The number and roles of participants for each meeting will
be decided by a joint planning committee we assemble from Core, DGP and NIH representatives.
