To assess the safety and tolerability of two regimens of antioxidant supplements, in comparision to placebo, in participants with mild to moderate AD. The active regimens consist of vitamin E 800 mg + vitamin C 200 mg + a-lipoic acid 600 mg given once per day and coenzyme Q10 800 mg three times a day (TID). To measure the effects of treatment with antioxidants on cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers of oxidative damage, namely isoprostanes, and neurodegeneration, namely tau and phosphotau 181.
