This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. This research project aims to find out, using magnetic resonance imaging, which parts of the brain are responsible for memory and attentional functions and how these functions are influenced by stimulant medication. Further, we will investigate how these functions develop in childhood by comparing children to adults, and how they are affected by psychiatric and neurological disorders by comparing patients to healthy people.
