Project Summary: The Administrative Core has the responsibility for effective coordination, monitoring, and evaluation that are central to the success of the Center. An essential part of the coordinating role is supporting, stimulating and reinforcing interdisciplinary learning and collaboration in Cancer Communication Research among its participants. This will be a central mark of its success. Its Executive Committee, which provides continuing oversight, is made up of the Pis of the individual projects and cores; half of its members are from Annenberg and half from the School of Medicine. All are also members of the Abramson Cancer Center. Achieving most of the specific aims of the Administrative Core would be beyond the resources and the purposes of the individual projects and the other Cores. In addition to its coordinating, monitoring and evaluation role, the Administrative Core will have primary operational responsibility for one independent component of the Center: the Developmental Research Program (presented in a separate section), and will actively support and coordinate the dissemination efforts of the Translation to Practice Core.
