英文摘要
Project Summary Understanding the mechanisms underlying the transition to chronic pain is key to mitigating the dual epidemics of chronic pain and opioid use in the U.S. As part of the NIH funded Acute to Chronic Pain Signatures (A2CPS) Program, we will leverage the data collected at the Data Integration and Resource Center (DIRC) at Johns Hopkins University and collaborating institutions. In this administrative supplement, we seek funding for an additional two-year period to develop the career of Dr. Michael Sun toward the aim of developing neural and inflammatory biomarkers and understand how such biomarkers predict and respond to opioid-use, as well as their psychosocial context.
