This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the
resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and

The purpose of this research is to test the hypothesis that RSV-specific CD8+ T cells are the principal mechanism of resolution of infection and protection against reinfection during the first months of life, when passive maternal antibodies profoundly suppress humoral RSV-specific immunity.
