This project will look at new approaches for building analog-to-digital converters for high-speed operation.  The aim will be to build some of the highest speed 12 bit converters using advanced CMOS technologies.  If successful, these converters can be integrated together with significant digital logic  to realize low cost solutions for system-on-chip applications.  These chips would be useful in a variety of applications such as digital video, wireless communications and graphics digitization.
