Our objective is to commercialize a novel compact waveguide-based terahertz (THz) spectrometer for analysis of environmental and biological gasses.This instrument uses a low-loss waveguide to confine THz radiation, making THz measurement instruments affordable and easy to use. The result is improved performance, dramatically simplified alignment and a mechanical stability, and a substantial (e.g.10 x) reduction in physical size. It is anticipated that such a device will be a powerful tool in THz analysis of gasses, enabling widespread adoption of new techniques.
