英文摘要
In this proposed project, we will develop a robust strategy to accurately evaluate the hemodynamic performance of transcatheter aortic valves by taking into account their interaction with the native calcified aortic stenosis. This strategy will use a combination of finite element modeling and experimental testing. It will provide a research and development tool which is capable to predict the hemodynamic performance of transcatheter aortic valve prototypes. This project will contribute to ViVitro Labs Inc.'s efforts to overcome the technical challenges that prevent a robust and efficient in vitro test of transcatheter aortic valves performance.
