The EG project is an initiation of research collaboration with Baanto Inc., which is a start-up company on touch system design using infrared (IR) photo diode (FD) and sensors for various types of display/screen. The project has duration of six months with the following goals: (1) to gain sufficient understanding of Baanto's touchscreen technique in terms of its system configurations; and (2) to obtain parameters that statistically model the sensitivity of each possible FD-sensor pair. With a good progress of (1) and (2), the project will investigate an optimization problem for sensor locations in order to achieve sufficient correctness for touches at the corner.
