The project is on investigation and development of an optimization model for optimal spectrum sensing and resource allocation in the IoT communication platform of our industry partner, NGL. Our goal is to develop a new computational model that can fit into NGL's IoT system. By taking the Engage program, we expect not only to fulfill NGLs' business goal for a commercially feasible solution to their IoT platform design, but also a great opportunity for Prof. Ho in tailoring his past research on cognitive radio, wireless resource allocation, and two-way relay networking (as shown in the references) into practical/commercial solutions. The project will support a Ph.D. and a co-op student for 6 months, who will be essential in any possible subsequent research collaboration with the company.
