The proposed research will examine gold metallogeny and gold distribution in the mineralized Potato Hills Trend, Dublin Gulch, Yukon. Field work will be focused on the Dublin Gulch properties of Victoria Gold Corporation. Specifically, the research will apply mineralogical, fluid inclusion and stable isotope techniques to elucidate the relationship between gold mineralization and the multiple stages of hydrothermal veining and alteration that are evident in this large tonnage, bulk mineable gold deposit. This collaborative research project will provide Victoria Gold Corporation with access to unique knowledge, expertise and educational/research facilities available at Memorial University.
